Questions
Does the finder need an app?
No. The number on the tag works without anything; QR opens in the regular camera; tapping works on iPhone XS and newer and on Android phones with NFC.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once for the tag and the service keeps working.
What if the finder doesn't know what NFC is?
They don't need to. The phone number and the QR code are the main ways; NFC is just an extra shortcut for those who know it.
Where do I get alerts?
Today — in Telegram, via our bot @YourPetLocatorBot. We're adding WhatsApp and SMS. Even without Telegram, the finder can call you or write to you on WhatsApp.
Who sees my details?
Whoever scans the tag sees your pet's name, your first name, your phone and the notes you chose to add. Your address is used only for delivery and is never shown. The finder's location is sent only if they press the button.
Does it replace the microchip?
No. The microchip is required by law and remains the last backup. FindYpet adds a fast way to reach you without a vet's scanner.
What is a spare tag?
An exact copy of your pet's tag — same engraving, same page and link. Keep it at home or put it on a harness. In the Family plan you choose: a tag for each pet, or spares.
How do I pay, and when will I get the tag?
After you order, we message you to confirm the order and arrange payment. Then we engrave the tag, write its NFC and ship it to your address. Each step is announced in Telegram — or we call you.
What if my phone number changes?
Write to us in the bot — we update your pet's page right away. The old number stays engraved on the front, so you can order a new tag with the new number.
How do I update my phone or notes?
In the Telegram bot: /settings. Keep your contacts up to date — outdated contacts are a common reason a found pet doesn't get home.
